Pot holder crazy!

Ok, I have been making tons of pot holders lately. I don't exactly know why, I found the heat resistant batting at the fabric store and I thought that pot holders would be an easy and fun way to use it. Here are the first ones that I made, more to come soon!

Lila and the Fire

I have a wall hanging on display at the Starbucks on Louis Henna in Round Rock.
Thank you, Philip, for letting me put it on display!
This wall hanging is 49 by 60 inches and is made from cotton and canvas.
The cotton has been ripped into squares, dyed with tea, stamped with acrylic paint, and burned before it is applied in layers to the canvas.
This is a very striking piece both in size and detail and is best seen in person.
Go check it out and pick up a drink while you are there. I am addicted to the egg nog chai!

Gallery in Round Rock Library

I currently have paintings, quilts, and other work on display at the Round Rock Library.
My work will be hanging from November 2nd to November 30th.

My friend, Abbey, recently taught me how to make these cute flowers. I have made a ton of them and added either alligator clips or brooch pins to the backs. Take a look!

Mother's Day Purse

I made this purse for my Grandma Goertz for Mother's Day. I decided to line the inside with black duct tape to give is a classic look. I chose this fabric because I know that she likes paisleys. I gave it to her on Mother's Day and I think she really likes it.
