Another purse trial

I made this bag last Friday night after my mom came over for dinner and we watched a great Jimmy Stewart movie called Harvey. This clutch is lined with a satin fabric and has a magnetic snap to close it. I think when I make this bag again I will change a few things, but overall it turned out well. Look for it on my etsy website soon: j.a.c.'s Studio

An Experiment

It has been a long time since I sat down at my sewing machine and made a purse. A few weeks ago I spent an evening with my sister and we each made one of these keyhole clutches. The interesting thing about these bags is that they require no sewing at all! The inside is lined in duct tape (this bag has a bright purple duct tape lining) and the sides and bottom seams are put together with staples. The bag was a lot of fun to make, and I plan to make more and post them on my etsy site soon. j.a.c.'s Studio

Also, my family is attending the Bastrop Relay for Life event on May 14th. It is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and I will be donating a few of these purses as part of our team raffle. Click on this link to donate to my Relay team,
Generations of Love, if you would like to support cancer research.
